New Youth Group Underway

Each Sunday at 11:20 A.M. during Coffee &, Youth are invited to join in the Couch Room adjacent to Helen Henry Hall for a time which will include some Bible Study, games, planning for other activities and just being together.

Ringers and Singers Needed

If you would like to help to bring music into our worship times, please speak to Betty Austin. The Bell Choir meets on Thursday night at 6:30 P.M. and the Choir meets at 7:30 same night.

Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantries

We host a meal site every Monday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. Folks from FBC host the dinner on the 3rd Monday each month. Talk to Betsy Bochman if you'd like to help.

The requested item for the food pantry this month is Soap, Shampoo or Toothpaste. Please leave your items on the table at the rear of the sanctuary.

Sound System Notes
Our new sound system is nearing the point of completion. One of the features of this new state of the art system will be personal listening devices for the hard of hearing. Each person needing this type of assistance may secure their own receiver and ear buds to enhance their appreciation of the content of our times of worship together.

The America For Christ Offering  We received $863.00. Thank you for your gifts to this important offering.

Missional Church Event    Comes to FBC ESSEX
The first step in our Missional Church project is to survey our congregation. In order that we might complete a
survey that will help us in designing our project, the team will host a breakfast before church on April 27th at 8:30 a.m.  Come and help us with our homework and we'll supply the #2 pencils.

Five Upcoming Events:
On April 26th - the 184th Annual Gathering of The American Baptist Churches of Connecticut at Central Baptist Church in Hartford. Speaker: Dr. Molly Marshall, President of Central Baptist Seminary in Kansas City, KS.

On May 3 - Camp Wightman Spring Work Day.

May 4th - An ordination council will gather in Helen Henry Hall at 4:00 P.M. for the purpose of responding to the call of FBC in Essex to ordain Ms. Amy Hollis.

June 1st - Pending the action of the ordination council on May 4th, we will celebrate the ordination of Amy Hollis in our sanctuary at 4:00 P.M.
