45 MPH - 45 minutes of Music, Prayer, and Hope

Our prayer is that the worship experience will be more than just a one night stand. We hope it will invoke new insights, questions, thoughts, reflections, ideas, etc., and open your heart and mind to God throughout the week.

This page was designed to give you a flavor of our evening worship service.  Initially, we thought we would be able to update it every week, but alas, we weren't able to do this on a regular basis.  So, please consider these entries as samples of what happens on a Sunday night!

You are welcome to add your reflections and thoughts in a blog format.

And remember, you are always welcome to share your thoughts, struggles, experiences, reflections, etc., during the next worship experience.

Easter Sunset Service - 4/12/2009   Our church has traditionally had a sunrise service on Easter, so it seemed appropriate to hold a sunset service.  We had thought about going to the cemetery for our evening service, but the logistics for our musicians and the uncertainty of the weather kept us inside.  Actually that's probably more appropriate anyway since we know that Christ has risen and it is futile to be searching for him in the grave (Hallelujah!).  Here are some slide excerpts from the service (without the music).  The Crosspoint "Voices from the Edge" skit dealt with the fears and hopes of a child waiting to be born and the fears and hopes of one who knows that death is inevitable. There are some striking similarities between the two situations.  Easter Sunset Service
