45 MPH - 45 minutes of Music, Prayer, and Hope

Our prayer is that the worship experience will be more than just a one night stand. We hope it will invoke new insights, questions, thoughts, reflections, ideas, etc., and open your heart and mind to God throughout the week.

This page was designed to give you a flavor of our evening worship service.  Initially, we thought we would be able to update it every week, but alas, we weren't able to do this on a regular basis.  So, please consider these entries as samples of what happens on a Sunday night!

You are welcome to add your reflections and thoughts in a blog format.

And remember, you are always welcome to share your thoughts, struggles, experiences, reflections, etc., during the next worship experience.

Hungering for God - 3/22/2009  -  There's an unspoken hunger in America (and around the world) - a spiritual hunger that people are seeking to satisfy.  There's an interesting phenomenon that's happening today.  Scientist are finding that people are eating more, but their bodies are sending signals that more food is needed.  Why?  Because the type of foods fed to the body aren't satisfying the nutritional needs of the body. The same can be said for our spiritual diets.  We're seeking to feed our souls by consuming material and physical "foods" that don't really satisfy.  So we find our selves still hungry, still craving a fix of some sort - opening the "refrigerator" and hoping to find something that will satisfy:  relationships, status, money, possessions, self-help books, etc.  It's time to turn to God for the bread of life.  Let's pray that there will be a growing hunger for God in the world - and an acknowledgment that only God can truly satisfy.
