45 MPH - 45 minutes of Music, Prayer, and Hope
Our prayer is that the worship experience will be more than just a one night stand. We hope it will invoke new insights, questions, thoughts, reflections, ideas, etc., and open your heart and mind to God throughout the week.
This page was designed to give you a flavor of our evening worship service. Initially, we thought we would be able to update it every week, but alas, we weren't able to do this on a regular basis. So, please consider these entries as samples of what happens on a Sunday night!

08/08/08 - "What's in a Name?"
This evening, the focus was on names! How we get names (we watched a
clip from "Brother Bear" where Kenai receives his totem name), our own
names (do we like them, the stories behind them, nicknames, etc.), and
the negative names we are sometimes called or adopt ourselves (Loser,
Ugly, No-Good). These negative names can have a powerfully negative
effect on our lives.
To counteract that, we need to remember that God knows our "real names." Here are just a few of the names God has for his people: Beloved, Child, Holy One, Saved, Chosen, One who Belong to God, etc. Not only does God have pet names for us, but there are scriptures that talk about how God calls us by name (the names that God has given us). Isaiah 43:1-4 Isaiah 49:1 Isaiah 49:16 .
Read this wonderful piece called " When God Calls You By name August 27 - September 3, 1995" by Pastor Bob Tshannuen-Moren that reminds us that God knows our names and recognizes us no matter where we are.
During the week, listen. God is calling your name!
